DRIVING INNOVATION THAT TRANSFORMS VALÈNCIA

WHO WE ARE

València Innovation Capital is the strategy of the City Council of Valencia with which we promote innovation in the city, connecting talent, companies, institutions and knowledge in a dynamic and growing ecosystem. We act as a meeting point and engine of initiatives that position València as a benchmark in innovation at national and international level.

Our goal is to transform the city through innovation, promoting a sustainable, competitive and people-centered development model. To this end, we promote the creation of opportunities, the attraction of investment and talent, and the strengthening of the business and technological fabric.

We work through the development of instruments that facilitate innovation in the city, such as the Urban Sandbox, which allows testing solutions in real environments, or participation in European projects that connect Valencia with other international ecosystems. In addition, we support innovative projects, generate spaces for collaboration between agents and promote initiatives that accelerate the development and implementation of solutions with real impact on the city.

INNOVATION CENTERS

València Innovation Capital currently manages two innovation centers: Las Naves and La Harinera.

Las Naves

Las Naves

Las Naves is one of the main spaces from which the València Innovation Capital strategy is promoted. Located in the maritime district, it is an open environment for experimentation where European and local projects aimed at improving people's lives and responding to urban challenges are promoted.
The building houses workspaces, laboratories, areas for events and activities, as well as an area for exhibitions.

Las Harinera

La Harinera is an emblematic building with a strong historical character, a former industrial space linked to the flour-making activity of the city, which has been rehabilitated to accommodate new uses linked to innovation. This industrial past coexists today with a dynamic and open environment, integrated into the urban fabric and connected to the evolution of Valencia as a benchmark for innovation.
The building is mainly oriented to boost the ecosystem, hosting open innovation initiatives, entrepreneurship and collaboration. From here, acceleration programs are promoted and alliances between companies, startups, institutions and citizens are generated to develop solutions with real impact on the city.
