Description
EQUILAB is a citizen laboratory promoted by the Fisabio Foundation, in collaboration with València Innovation Capital, the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), and the neighbourhood platform València Saludable.
This laboratory aims to create innovative solutions to improve health and reduce health inequalities. The initiative invites residents of the neighbourhoods of La Fonteta de Sant Lluís, Na Rovella, En Corts, Malilla, Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, Monteolivete and La Punta to submit proposals addressing the major challenges identified by local communities during the participatory diagnosis phase of the project:
1. Supporting the mental and emotional well-being of people in vulnerable situations.
2. Bringing technology closer to citizens to help bridge the digital divide.
3. Creating accessible resources that enable people to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
These solutions are developed through an open and participatory process that includes three hands-on workshops: ideation, prototyping, and validation. The workshops will take place between February and April 2026 at the Fuente de San Luis Health Centre and/or nearby venues.
Interested participants may submit their proposals individually or as part of a group, always with an openness to collaboration and new ideas. Read the call guidelines and register here.
